It is a large dining room located in the first floor of the hotel. It has two adjoining areas namely the Kama Sutra Bar and the mini hall. The décor and ceiling of the Putali Baithak is similar to that of the Rana palaces of Kathmandu as the building itself was a palace of the priest. It has a wooden ceiling with various designs of deities and traditional Nepali crafts carved on. Its neo-classical architectural designs were introduced in Nepal by the first Rana Prime Minister of Nepal, Jung Bahadur Rana.
You can dine here at low tables with floor chairs similar to the way local Nepalis dine.
Next to the Putali Baithak is the Kama Sutra Bar which gives a feel of traditional Nepali drinking experience. It is decorated by traditional erotic wood carvings that appear on numerous temples around Nepal. The ambience of the bar creates a delightful atmosphere for a drink.
Behind the Kama Sutra Bar is the Putali Baithak Mini hall that can accommodate those wishing to have a private dining experience.
